Triathlon is a tough sport. Forget the distances involved in the actual races for a second and consider all of the logistics necessary for undertaking such an endeavor. One must be concerned with the selection and maintenance of equipment for three different sports, learning the techniques to master each sport, creating a training plan that blends all three disciplines, putting together a solid strength program, understanding the mental aspects of triathlon, and having a basic knowledge of nutrition. It can be overwhelming for any athlete.
Team EOS can bringing order to the process.
Team EOS's coaching philosophy is simple: speed = fitness + economy
Fitness is the easy part of the equation. A smart plan that builds the amount of and intensity of workouts combined with consistent training will lead an athlete to excellent fitness.
The more difficult aspect is economy. It isn't necessarily the fittest athlete who wins a race, but it is always the one who is most economical. The person who expends the least amount of energy is the one who crosses the line first. Therefore a major component of Team EOS's mission is to work with athletes to improve their technique in all three sports. The better the technique the more economical the athlete will be.
